Oliver Djurkovic Jazz Project (AUS)

Saxophonist and composer Oliver Djurkovic presents music from his debut album Dreamin — a modern jazz project that blends lyrical melodies, groove-driven compositions, and open improvisation.

Based in Australia and a graduate of the Australian National University, Djurkovic is an active performer on the contemporary jazz scene, leading projects that balance strong compositional identity with dynamic, high-energy live performance. Dreamin marks his first full-length release as a bandleader, featuring original music that draws on modern jazz traditions while remaining accessible and emotionally direct.

The live set showcases selections from Dreamin alongside newer material from an upcoming release, offering audiences a cohesive, engaging experience that ranges from intimate and reflective moments to driving, rhythm-forward pieces.

Riccardo Gileno (IT)

Riccardo Gileno is a folk-pop songwriter from Trieste, city that lies on the north-eastern coast of Italy. Thanks to the Canadian origins of his father, born and raised in Toronto, he discovers music at an early age, mainly listening to British and North-American artists. Riccardo Gileno’s solo project originates from his need to express himself through music, in order to find the driving force behind his personal growth. With his songs, he tries to escape his comfort zone, look inside himself and tell the listener what he found.

The music of Riccardo Gileno based between London and Milan released his new EP „From Beginning to End“ via Mahogany Songs,  which contains the singles „Simple Sign“ and „No Need“.

Bile Bear performance is a smooth blending of virtuosistic fingerpicking, hypnotic arpeggios, Blues licks, Mediterranean scales, Flamenco rolls, atonal strumming, charming echoes of Far East melodies, North African pathos.

All punctuated by absurdist storytelling, evocative Myths, regenerative Folk tales. Since 2024 double release with Australian Label Ramble Records,
Bile Bear music has been praised internationally as unique and innovative output within the American/South Italian Primitivism, Blues, Folk, Jazz, Avant-garde & Instrumental Music scene.

Bile Bear’s music features regularly on Radio Programs such as WFMU – New York, CKUT – Montreal, Balling The Jack by Joe Cushley, Resonance FM – London Slovenian Radiostudent.SL, WORTFM Canada and several EU independent stations. And it has been recommended in various Instrumental music selections, among the others: DFBM(DE), Quiet Space (UK), Psychic Glands Auckland (NZ), Recording Crates(USA).

The concert will be an inspiring evening for instrumental music lovers, Blues aficionados, Spaghetti Western nerds, curious apprentices of analog trance.

SquarEars begeistern mit ihrem brandneuen kammermusikalische Duo-Programm mit absurder, zum Teil dadaistischer Musik, die unvermeidlich in den Bann zieht. Sie nennen ihr Genre Hip- Post New Wave Chamber Jazz -Hop!

Kinematographische Klangwelten verleiten zum in die Tiefen des Unterbewusstseins Abschweifen, während groovige, zum Teil verstörende Passagen aus Tagträumereien aufwecken und in die dystopische Klarheit der Realität befördern.

Durch jahrelanges Zusammenspiel sind die beiden eng miteinander befreundeten Musiker untrennbar zusammengeschweißt und lassen mit ihrer interaktiven Verbundenheit beinahe darauf vergessen, dass es sich um zwei separate Individuum handelt.

Das Projekt mit Sitz in Graz, am Jazzinstitut KUG besteht aus Musikern, die unter der Leitung weltbekannter Interpreten im Bereich der Jazzmusik stehen. Die Band widmet sich modernen Jazz Genres wie Post Bop oder Modal Jazz. Im Repertoire finden sich Kompositionen von John Coltrane, Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter und anderen Legenden dieses Genres. Das Intersections Quintet begeistert das Publikum vor allem durch seine elektrisierende Energie und Kommunikation in der Musik.

Inspired by the volcanic energy and layered folklore of the Nusantara archipelago, a region shaped by centuries of cultural exchange, Bintang creates immersive worlds that move between memory and imagination.

Blending traditional instruments with electronic textures, his work honors ancestral practices while embracing experimentation. He draws a natural connection between Indonesian trance ritual sound and the pulse of contemporary club culture, where rhythm, repetition, and collective movement dissolve boundaries. Through this shared energy, Sonic Ritual becomes an invitation to release, to move freely, and to travel inward guided by sound.

Bintang Manira Manik, also known as Manirastar, is a multifaceted musician from Bandung, Indonesia, currently based in Graz, Austria. With a background as a trained percussionist, electronic music enthusiast, and improviser, he creates a seamless world where traditional and modern sounds intertwine.
Deeply rooted in his Sundanese heritage and fueled by a curiosity for global musical traditions, Bintang’s sound is shaped by ancestral memory and a spirit of exploration. Over the past decade, he has immersed himself in the intricate rhythms of tabla and the deep, meditative essence of Dhrupad singing. Alongside this, he experiments with a unique electronic-acoustic setup, blending organic textures with contemporary sound design.

His sonic choices form a kind of portal, inviting the imagination to travel to distant, sometimes surreal landscapes. By weaving traditional instruments with experimental tones and rhythms, his work bridges cultures, stories, and sonic dimensions, offering immersive experiences that honor the past
while looking toward the future.

Erdig, verspielt und mit einem Hauch von Tiefgang – so präsentieren sich Magogo beim Kräftner Konzert. Michi am Schlagzeug, Sülli am Cello, Isa am Bass und Domi und Vali an den Gitarren nehmen uns mit auf eine Reise durch ihren Psychedelic-Rock mit Anleihen aus dem Grunge. Ihre Tracks wie „Dreamworld“ und „Hot Tasty Summer“ sind dabei ebenso vielfältig wie die Themen, die sie aufgreifen – mal gesellschaftskritisch, mal philosophisch, immer mit eindringlicher Intensität. Wer auf abwechslungsreiche Musik steht, sollte auf jeden Fall reinhören!

Styrian Songbook interpretiert ausgewählte Lieder aus dem Steirischen Liederbuch neu und verwebt sie mit dem Klangspektrum brasilianischer Rhythmen, Afro-Elementen und lateinamerikanischem Jazz.

Die Besetzung mit Reinhard Grube an Saxophon, Klarinette und Flöte, Stefan Oser an der Gitarre sowie Emmanuel Mazé am Akkordeon schafft ein nuanciertes Klangbild zwischen Tradition und zeitgenössischer Weltmusik.
Vertraute Melodien bleiben erkennbar – sie öffnen sich jedoch in neue harmonische und rhythmische Räume.
