„Die Frau unter der Laterne“ is a personal project of ESTHER S (Berlin) which started appearing on Barcelona’s downtown music scene in 2013.
In the style of the Berliner Kabarett of the 20s and 30s, ¨Die Frau¨ and her musicians, Jürgen Scheucher (guitar), Carles Vivé (piano), and Markus Frei (drums), reinterpret songs written between the two World Wars.
The songs are performed in their original languages: German, French and Yiddish.
